Welcome to CLAUDEX. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and the purchase of products from our collections. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by the terms outlined below.

1. Bespoke & Made-to-Measure Orders

As Claudex specializes in artisanal nursery design, many of our products (including items from The Braid Studio) are manufactured to your specific requirements.

  • Specifications: It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure all measurements, weave styles, and color combinations are accurate at the time of purchase.

  • Exclusion of Right to Cancel: In accordance with UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, the statutory 14-day right to cancel or return goods does not apply to items made to a consumer’s specifications or clearly personalized. Once production has begun, bespoke orders cannot be modified or cancelled.

  • Artisanal Variations: Minor variations in weave tension or texture are hallmarks of handcrafted products and are not considered defects.

2. Shipping & Delivery

All orders are dispatched from our studio via Evri’s fully tracked network. Shipping fees are calculated based on the order value and the selected tier of service:

  • Complimentary Shipping: Orders with a total value exceeding £100 (after discounts) qualify for free Standard Tracked (48h) delivery within the United Kingdom.

  • Standard Tracked (48h): £3.99 (Estimated 3–5 working days).

  • Priority Tracked (24h): £5.99 (Estimated 1–2 working days). Orders must be placed before 2 pm Monday–Friday to qualify.

  • Address Accuracy: Due to automated fulfillment, addresses cannot be changed once an order is placed.

  • Returned to Sender: If a shipment is returned to the studio due to non-delivery or non-collection, a refund for the items will be issued (excluding delivery fees). A new order must be placed if the items are still required.

3. Returns & Refunds (Standard Items Only)

For non-bespoke items (e.g., The Voyage Collection or standard Bamboo Bedding):

  • 14-Day Window: You have 14 days from the date of receipt to return standard items.

  • Condition: Items must be unused, unwashed, and in original condition with all tags intact.

  • Exchanges: We do not offer direct exchanges. Please return your item for a refund and place a new order.

  • Postage: Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer. Original delivery fees are non-refundable.

4. Damaged or Faulty Items

Every Claudex order undergoes a thorough inspection before dispatch.

  • Reporting: Should a product arrive damaged or incorrect, please report this within 5 days of receipt to hello@claudex.co.uk with your order number and clear photographs of the fault.

  • Bespoke Faults: In the rare event of a manufacturing fault or a studio measurement error on a bespoke item, we will rectify the issue as a priority.

5. Inventory & Availability

Availability is subject to change. If an item becomes unavailable after an order is placed, that item will be cancelled and refunded in full, and the remainder of your order will be dispatched.

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
